Scrapmatt Layouts by Amy

Hi There Scrapmatts Fans,

Amy with you today to share some crafty love using SCRAPMATTS designs.

For my designs today I used the CB1201 Men's Accessories Chipboard

Here is He's All Boy

Because I just loved the colour this chipboard comes in I kept it raw in my layout.
I usually love to emboss, paint and generally alter my chipboard but this was too perfect
I am a bit of a layer lady and usually use 3d adhesive to give a bit of dimension

This chipboard has so many pieces I just have to keep going and use up some extras.
Here is my Star Tag. I like to make little tags to store for cards and gifts

Once again I did keep these raw as I was using the same Echo Park collection.

So that's it my first blog post done and dusted. I am so glad to be able to share with you my crafty creations. Feel free to link Scrapmatts in when you create yours. We would love to see what you make

Stay Scrappy,
Amy xo

Elf onThe Shelf Layout

Hello There

Elf on the Shelf is one of my favourite traditions. I am one of those Christmas Enthusiasts much to my Grinch fiancé's dismay. Not only do we get children into a state of paranoid good behaviour at a time when there is SO much to attend, make, buy and  complete. But parents can have a daily contribution to the magic that is Christmas.

I love it and I bought one of Flutterby Designs Elf Essentials Pack to help me through the month.
Then decided this needed to be including in my Christmas album.
So here is what I did.

Materials Used - Flutterby Designs Elf Essentials Pack, Photoplay Dear Santa, Charms Creations Star, Thickers, and some Christmas from my stash.

Anita from Flutterby Designs sent this blank Elf book for Christmas and I've filled it up with Elf Photos for my boys to enjoy for years to come. (and perhaps make sure I don't double next year)
In the Elf Essentials Pack is a Selfie Frame. Its fits perfectly in a PL 2x3 pocket and now has become a little sequin shaker

That big beautiful star you can get from Charms Creations. She has the Sweetest Christmas Embellishments handmade.
If you are looking for those glitter Thickers there are still some available online at Shop and Crop HQ my place of 'work'. Keep me in a job buy from her!

So that's it close up and personal with my Elf Layout.

All Dressed Up

Hello There,

Materials used - Glitz Designs Dapper Dans Collection and American Crafts Thickers.

I've been suffering from a scrappers block recently. I have a few mojo unblockers that usually work let me share with you.
1. Go on a crop at my local store. www.shopandcrop.com.au All those inspiring layouts around me and giggling with my scrapping gal pal Nicole USUALLY gets the juices flowing. Not this time I fell flat and went home earlier than I planned.
2. When Happy Mail comes. I get such inspo from my subscription to a piece of cake designs. www.apeiceofcakedesigns.com.au Raquel's kits are fabulous I get to play with products that i don't usually find in Australia. I opened that kit and looked at it for a week.
3. Cleaning the house. Nothing like not having any mothers guilt to deprive you of your 'me' time. My cupboards are clean and organised but that still didnt spark the inspo. JEEZ what can I do.
& 4. flipping through a scrap magazine. I love a few mags but this month's favourite was Jot Magazine www.jotmagazine.com. I dont know if you have ever seen it but this months editor note was enlightening and shows me that sometimes you have to take a leap to get your dream. As my favourite JotGirl always says grab a cuppa and have a look. Now Im all buzzed and ready to play in my office. #BRINGONNAPTIME

3 layouts just for you

Hello scrapping bloggins,
What a month this has been huh???.
I'll give you a quick update. My family went through Easter, a trip to the farm, an attempted suicide (not is but close family) closing day care, getting a job, quitting that job, a broken camera, then broken sewing machine, then broken internet, a tooth extraction and most scary our first school holidays. And we 4 survived it all, even thrived I believe.
I did scrap I promise ... not as much as you can understand but when things like the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy coming in one month its a pretty big deal. (and secretly I cant wait to scrap them all)

so first this is Love
Materials used, piece of cake march kit, embellishments from spotlight, Kaszazz, dear Lizzy and flourish with a bling

Next Layout is called Five
This is for the white with one challenge, I completed these next two at a crop day at shopandcrop.com.au with a girl friend. That was a fun twelve hours.
Materials used are card stock, my minds eye and bits of scrap embellishments are dear Lizzy, Heidi swap, kaisercraft and resin flowers

Final layout for today is Party, for black with two challenge

Materials used - card stock, black coordinations and black basic grey, embellishments are amy tangerine, piece of cake flair, paper flowers, ribbon and a bit of flourish with a bling, theres also a rub on there but I don't known where its from I'm surprised it still works.

Ok girls you stay scrappy and ill catch ya next month.

Graphic 45 Design Team 2014 Audition

Hello Readers
So since the announcement of Graphic 45’s DT call I’ve had my head down and got the crafty mojo going.

Six entries that represent me and my Graphic45 mojo ... mostly

1.       Family

Materials used – Graphic 45, American Thickers, Flourish with a Bling designs, Kaszazz metal flowers (time).

I love the stitching this is my own drawing and then stitching the outline.

2.He is Ready

Materials used, A piece of cake kit, flairs and wood banners, Bo Bunny, Thicker, Amy Tangerine.

This is a repost of this layout. I’m happy with the journaling Q&A of my five year old, I want to know I will remember him in this moment for years to come.

3.The Hooker In Me

Materials used-Graphic 45 Steampunk, Flourish with a bling,, Kaszaz clogs, wood veneer, Kaiser Craft Paper flowers

4. Home Finally

Materials used – Graphic 45,  Thickers, Flourish with a Bling, Kaszazz embellishments, Kaiser Craft and Prima flowers

5.Thank you card

Materials- Graphic 45, Thickers, rub ons,

The original frame of this card said the words ‘Joie de Vivre’ but that didn’t work for my card. I cut another rectangle out the same side, and fussy cut the matching flowers. That way I can use the rub on and love the effect.

6.The Freestanding Steampuntian Mask

Materials used-Graphic 45 Steampunk paper, Mask spotlight, paint, crackle paint, pearlised  pen, kaszazz metal clogs, fabscraps chipboard, feathers, photo clamp stand, spotlight bear stand, black feathers

Think paper mèche/fussy cut. The photo and embellishment is held up by a model bear stand bent to hold a photo but you could use a photo clamp on a stand.

if you look closely you will see the detail crackle paint, my good camera decided not to Work tonight.

Wish me luck peeps

I'm always looking to learn, how would you improve this page?
